Got a bright idea for our annual black light/UV reactive show? Submit your audition form and music by Satuday, January 30th!

We are casting up to 20 performers, with approximately 4 acts per apparatus. Non-aerial acts welcome!

Before submitting your form:

• Please check the current list of auditionees, apparatuses, music selections, and act concepts to avoid duplicates.

• Form and music submissions are due before 1/30

• Review the show schedule below —rehearsal attendance is required

What We’re Looking For

This is a black light show: neon and UV-reactive costuming and/or props are required. We’re seeking acts that embrace the visual impact of black light reactive elements. Bring us bold visual concepts, strong characters, and engaging stage presence.

Preference will be given to acts that are joyful, silly, whimsical, or uplifting.

Costuming

All acts must be fully costumed and thoroughly tested before dress rehearsal.

• Neon and UV-reactive costuming and/or props are required.

• Streetwear and gym clothing are not allowed.

• Your costume should support the theme and elevate your act.

• If finances prevent appropriate costuming, please note it in your audition form and the producer will follow up via email. We can help!

Entrances & Staging

• All acts must include a choreographed entrance., regardless of when music begins. This means blocking, body language, intention. It does not have to be dancing!

• Your performance does not start on the apparatus or in the air, it begins the moment you are visible to the audience and and builds from there.

Show Schedule

• 1/30 — Last day to submit audition form and music

• 2/7, 3:15pm — Auditions (video auditions are also due on this date)

• 2/28 3:15-6:15pm — Tech Rehearsal

  • Music cues confirmed

  • Costumes/props tested — bring them

  • Tech needs confirmed (lifts, props, assistance)

  • Full show run-through

• 3/21, 3:15-6:15pm — Dress Rehearsal

• 3/31, 6-9pm — Dress Rehearsal

• 4/3, 1pm — Matinee

  • 3:30pm — Dinner provided at the studio for cast & crew

• 4/3, 6pm

  • 8:30 — Wrap party! Friends & family welcome!
