Requirements to Participate
Performers
Please complete one of the show-specific forms linked below to sign up for an audition. In-person auditions are preferred for new artists. In-person or video auditions are accepted for repeat cast members and experienced performers.
Please be sure to review the show schedule below before applying and be prepared for your audition with the following:
A 3-minute (or longer) choreographed performance suitable for the show theme.
You must demonstrate that you have planned choreography for the entire duration of your chosen song, but it does not need to be perfected.
Once accepted, performance music may not be changed.
Once accepted, performance choreography changes must be minimal and communicated to the producer at least one week before Tech Rehearsal. There are absolutely no choreo changes after Tech Rehearsal.
Technical Crew
Stagehands are welcomed and appreciated—techies make the magic happen! Please complete a show-specific form linked below to sign up, just enter n/a for anything that does not apply to you. Duties may include taking tickets, ushering, preparing the studio for the show, setting up/breaking down the portal aerial rig, exchanging apparatuses, moving mats, managing props, operating music and stage lighting, etc.
Rehearsal attendance is mandatory for all participants; please plan accordingly.
Tech Rehearsals: Performers must have their routines completely choreographed and performance-ready. There are absolutely no choreography changes after tech rehearsal.
Dress Rehearsals: Performers must arrive in full dress and performance-ready attire, and stagehands must be in all-black clothing (or theme-appropriate predetermined attire).
Day of the event
All participants must arrive one hour before the event begins and expect to help with set up, which may include setting up and breaking down the portal aerial rig, moving and arranging chairs, decorating, etc. Stagehands should be in all black (or theme-appropriate predetermined attire). Please be respectful to our neighbors, with whom we share the building locker room, and plan for only minor makeup and costume touch-ups at the studio. Contain your glitter, please!
