Performer Auditions
In-person is preferred, but videos are also accepted if you are unable to make the date. Your act concept and music file must be emailed to the studio no later than one week before the audition.

Performers, be prepared for your audition with the following.

  • A 3-minute (or longer) choreographed performance suited for the show theme.
Your act does not need to be perfected but choreography must be demonstrated from start to end of your chosen music. You will have a month to polish before Tech Rehearsal.

  • The music must be emailed in music file format (no links!) to the studio no later than one week prior to the audition. MP3 is preferred, WAV and AIFF are accepted.

    • Once accepted, performance music may not be changed.

    • Once accepted, performance choreography changes must be minimal and communicated to the director at least one week prior to Tech Rehearsal. No absolutely no choreo or music changes after Tech Rehearsal.

  • A costume or costume plan. Potential costumes will be discussed at the audition, so options must be available to present. Pictures, links, and physical items are all ok for this, you do not need to make a purchase before your audition.

    • Act/theme appropriate

    • Eye-catching - sparkly, bright, high contrast, etc

    • Absolutely no "gym"/casual or all-black clothing unless deemed performance-appropriate by the producer

Technical Crew
Stagehands are welcomed and appreciated - techies make the magic happen! Duties may include taking tickets, ushering, preparing the studio for the show, setting up/breaking down the portal aerial rig, exchanging apparatuses, moving mats, managing props, operating stage lighting, etc. Must attend all rehearsals.

Tech Rehearsals
Mandatory for all participants; please plan accordingly. Performers must have their routines completely choreographed and performance-ready. Absolutely no choreography changes after tech rehearsal.

Dress Rehearsals
Mandatory for all participants; please plan accordingly. Performers must arrive in full dress and performance-ready and stagehands must be in all-black clothing (or theme-appropriate predetermined attire).

Day of the event
All participants must arrive at least one hour before the event begins and assist with set up and break down. This may include set up/break down of the portal aerial rig, moving and arranging chairs, decorating, etc. Performers should bring one set of non-costume clothing, stagehands should be in all black (or theme-appropriate predetermined attire). Makeup should be show-ready when you arrive, only minor touch-ups will be possible.
