Dance Uprising Company Class

Join Dance Uprising in our weekly 60-minute company class! Slide on the floor, discover nontraditional partnering techniques, and learn modern dance phrasework.

  • Open to dancers of all levels, although having some dance experience is beneficial. 

  • Single-class reservations only.


Modern Dance

Whether you are brand new to modern dance or a seasoned dancer, this 60-minute class will be great for you! Warm-up combinations build on floor work and standing exercises, which build into combinations. We use an eclectic mixture of drum beats, instrumental, and popular music to connect movements and ideas.

PREREQ: All skill levels welcome!


Hand Balance

This 60-minute all-levels class will focus on alignment, flexibility, and strength, as well as covering spotting, falling, breath, and subtle adjustment. Returning students will be working on progressively more challenging poses and transitions.

PREREQ: Students must be able to reach overhead and perform beginning inversions like downward facing dog


Mobility and Movement

This 90-minute ground-based class is for all levels and includes myofascial release, stretching and lengthening, and strengthening and reactivation for optimized posture, gait, and whole-body mobility.

Yoga for People Who Don’t Do Yoga But Should

Bendiness for absolute beginners! Join us for this gentle, introductory 60-minute class for folks who know they should stretch more, but just aren’t finding the motivation to do so on their own. We will learn poses to increase flexibility, especially in the hips and legs, and spend time cultivating core strength and playing with balance. Perfect to help reduce recovery time and prevent injury!

PREREQ: All levels welcome!
